Athens Arrival is the first work from an ongoing series based on
explorations around the abandoned Ellinikon airport. Webb uses audio software
(Audacity and Ableton) to edit the RAW data within these photographs, bending
the digital makeup to craft audio samples that retain the visual
properties.The final works are composed
of the audio/visual samples collaged into moving images.Webb
intends to present an altered comprehension of our physical surroundings and
create a new understanding of our current landscape.
