This sound and smell installation plays on the idea of pleasant scents turning nasty.  Each Glade air freshener is wired to a sound activated switch.  The noise of people talking within the room triggers the air fresheners.  The more viewers talk the more they are subjected to Vibrant Bloom or Hawaiian Breeze. These utopian or heterotopian scents are meant to be idillic however they become intense overloads forcing the viewer to leave the room moving away from the utopian or heterotopian dream.
